Nayanthara Apologizes for 'Annapoorani' Controversy
Nayanthara has issued an apology following accusations that her film, 'Annapoorani:
The Goddess of Food,' hurt religious sentiments. The controversy included allegations
of promoting 'Love Jihad.' The actor expressed regret for any unintentional offense and
clarified that the film aimed to spread positivity. The controversy arose due to scenes,
such as the protagonist offering namaz in a hijab and discussions around Lord Rama
and Goddess Sita consuming meat. The film was removed from Netflix after an FIR was
filed, and co-producer Zee Entertainment extended an apology to the Vishva Hindu Parishad.
