Anvay Dravid, the son of Rahul Dravid, and Aryaveer Sehwag, the son of Virender Sehwag, are continuing their renowned father’s legacy by competing in the BCCI Under-16 tournament. Cricket fans were interested in seeing the first match between the two players, which happened in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy.
Aryaveer opened for Delhi and showed off his skills with a spectacular 54 runs in 106 balls. The young batsman, copying his father’s approach, concentrated on hitting boundaries and finished his innings with eight fours and a six. Aryaveer and Arnav Bugga contributed significantly by scoring 89 runs for the first wicket.
However, Anvay, the captain of the Karnataka team, was bowled by Ayush Lakra on the very first ball of the first innings after failing to score any runs. He was out for 11 runs by Ayush in the second inning. Similar to his dad, Anvay also serves as the wicketkeeper.
Ayush’s outstanding four wickets held Karnataka to a pitiful 144. In response, Delhi amassed a massive 304 thanks to half-centuries from Kirit Kaushik and Aryaveer. With four wickets lost for 88 runs in the second innings, Karnataka was having trouble. With a deficit of 72 runs, the innings finds itself in a difficult situation.
With two draws in as many games, Delhi is tied for third place in the points table with Karnataka.
In terms of batting stats, Aryaveer has amassed 100 runs in three different games. Anvay, with 237 runs and three half-centuries, is ranked fourteenth on the list. With 418 runs, Rajasthan’s Rajat Bhagel is in the lead.
